We had friends visit us from the Seattle area and we took them on a commercial "Mighty Five" tour. In view of the impending Halloween festivities, this posting deals with a Utah state park, Goblin Valley. This park is in the San Rafael Swell just north of Hanksville on the way to Bryce Canyon. It is one of the few places besides Bryce Canyon that has hoodoos or, as the locals refer to them, goblins. It is unique because visitors are allowed to go among the hoodoos. The formations are "younger" than the Bryce formations and still sandy.

Beautiful scenery.
Thanks for the kind words.
I have been to Goblin Valley about three years ago. Your photos are a very good depiction of the scenes that you find in this fascinating state park.

Thanks for looking! It was our first time and we were impressed.

Thanks for looking, Karin.
Fine stuff, Mike. Nice 'n crisp for shooting under relatively flat lighting conditions. Its almost as if the place was made for seeing/shooting panos, too.
(Now, let's talk about those sensor spots........)
Very striking set Mike. vz
