Evening on Mt. Equinox, VT

Made a routine trip to Mount Equinox over the weekend. The road to the summit will be closed at some point within the next six weeks, most likely a bit sooner than six weeks. There was a sign on the door of the shop at the bottom indicating that the mountain was closed until noon the previous day because of ice and snow. Had a few swirly snow flakes on Sunday AM as I was getting ready to return to Boston. The next few trips will be contingent on the weather. The temps were hovering around freezing. No haze, no humidity.

The red dock is not level. Walking on it while carrying camera is a tad disconcerting.

Thanks for commenting. Thoroughly enjoyed taking them. It was cold, crisp, clear and very quiet. Ideal conditions for shooting.

Thanks Sylvia. The first two nights I was there featured great sunsets and then the clouds and a little bit of snow rolled in.

Nice. I drove up Mt. Equinox in 2005 in a 1966 Mustang and it overheated on me. Did see some nice vistas from there, though. There were some buildings at the top, as I recall. From one of the overlooks on the road can be seen a monastery, too.
