A quick and easy way to change which program opens any file, not just a JPG, is to right click on the file/click on 'properties'/ go to "Opens with", then "Change"

You have to change the view of "Control Panel" - switch to Icon view. Click on the option at top right of Control Panel. I did try it and it works perfectly. I have various photo file types open a variety of programs. Photoshop, Photo (Win 10 viewer) FastStone and Sony app. I have jpg opening in Photoshop, ACR in FastStone, ARW in Sony App, and so on.

When I clicked on any JPG file it was opened with Photo app but I wanted to have Photoshop as a default program. I could open JPG with Photoshop using 'Open with' command. I have spent many days to receive desired result without success. I tried everything what I knew and found on Google but only today I solved my problem. Is there anybody who can not use Adobe photoshop as a default program in Windows 10?

Click on start> Control Panel, and in the top right corner (search) type in "Default program" select "Associate file type or Protocol" (set Associations) give it a moment to populate, scroll down to JPGS and select what program you want it to be opened with....

Yep. If you right click on the start button (lower left corner), it will give you multiple options including both control panel and settings. Either (as already described) will allow you to choose the default ap to open the various types of file extensions.

Glad you have it solved. Your computer will allow that setting, but you do need to know how to navigate in Settings or Control Panel to configure the feature. Matters little. You have it solved.

I can do it now and do not want to revert it back.

If there is ever an error opening a .jpg with your new default, Windows will unceremoniously revert the default back to its original one.

From here select the bottom entry, "Programs". From there, select "Default Programs". Then select the top entry, "Select your default programs". This pane will have a selection for "Photo viewer".
