Great Film, the "excuse me while I whip this out" scene has always tickled me.
Memorable hilarious scenes in so many Mel Brooks movies.
My favorite scene in the movie is when Cleavon Little is riding across the desert, Gucci saddle bags on his horse, and comes up on the Count Basie Band playing “April in Paris.”
Yes, that was the first scene that came to mind. Very funny movie.
I hated this film. When my wife and I were first dating we went to see this movie. We agreed to leave after no more than 15 minutes. This was the only movie that I started to watch and then left the theater before the finish.

Mel Brooks had a unique sense of humor.
Some people just don't get it.

You just reminded me that no one seems to know how to make a good movie anymore.
Fake sex, fake puke, F-bombs, tequila shots etc. There seems to be a formula you must follow to sell movie today.
Maybe the youngsters enjoy it but us oldsters are jaded by all the great movies we grew up with.
With today's "PC" standards, can you imagine what the outrage would be if Blazing Saddles were to be coming out this week?

They would never be able to release it in these times. Everyone would have their knickers in a knot!!!
PC has pretty well wiped out humor. As John Cleese (of Mony Python fame) put it (I may not have the quote exactly right), "How many jokes can you write that begin with 'three white Christian men walk into a bar'?"
Must pay Toll scene lol !!! LMAO just thinkin aabout it !

So if you left and didn't see all of the film I guess you can't comment on it, just 15 minutes. Mel Brooks was over the head of lots of people.
