Why are these pictures the exposure is fine on the bottom third yet the top 2 thirds is very red shifted. I know what red shifted is in Astronomy but it doesn’t apply here- I think. Is there away of fixing this. I don’t have Elements, what I do have is Nikons Capture NX2.

The brightest, most reflective area of your subjects are in the bottom third of the pix and the top areas fade away to, basically, no background at all.

Is there a way to fix it in PP? Probably, but not with my skills.

Swede your flash is not the correct one. You need a good flash that goes in the hot shoe. It seems to me your flash is falling off a bit. You also will need a diffuser to spread the flash more evenly. This is my opinion.

Thanks Jerry. I don't do to much flash Photography asnd when I do I use my F4s film camera with my SB 25 flash, I was lazy this time as i knew there would be alot of drinking involved and i figured the D200 would be good enough. Well as it turns out all it did was give me alot more time to but in-- Live and learn I guess.
