And butty boats all in a row. Nice set. I assume that the allure of owning the canal boats continues?

A nice set Peter.
When I lived in Cheshire, many years ago, The locals referred to the canal narrow boats as "Narra Wackers". I used to drive alongside the Trent and Mersey canal to work each day. In the summer plenty of narrow boats cruised up and down and always got a friendly wave from the persons onboard.
If you go to visit Northwich you will find the 'Anderton Boat Lift' Opened in 1875, which lifts/lowers boats fifty feet between the Trent and Mersey canal and the river Weaver.
