Hello again, and welcome to Free Sunday. I am still on cloud 9 after the Honor Flight with my nearly 98 year old Father.
I am sure you all have something to share as well that you haven'™t posted yet so bring it here and share with us. I will look forward to your posts.

Larry

Great post Larry, and thank you for taking your Father on what may be the last great experience. I had the honor of welcoming home many Honor Flights coming home from DC. It was always heartwarming to see the looks on the faces of the returning Vets when they saw the hundreds of well-wishers and the countless flags waving as they exited their gate. It was the best experience you could get without actually going on the flight.

Wow! Big job! Well done!! I am sure the members of the church appreciated it!

I've mentioned several times the construction project we were doing at our church. The bottom part of the 48' plaster wall in the basement dining hall of our 111yo church was crumbling and we decided to remove the plaster and replace it with bead board wainscoting - simple, right? When the plaster was removed we found a section of lath to be rotted and when that was removed down to the studs it was discovered that a cast iron waste pipe had cracked, releasing moisture and nasty smells. Sooo ... the studs had to be cut out to remove and replace the pipe, then the studs had to be replaced, wiring and new receptacles installed, vapor barrier installed, a plywood base attached, and then new baseboard, bead board wainscoting and chair rail installed! We finished 5 days before the Presbytery meeting! And, in case anyone is wondering, except for removing the lath and the rotted waste pipe, Chuck and I did all the carpentry work as it really was a two person job, not something that would have worked well with a group of people who didn't really know what they were doing. One of the other elders and his wife did a wonderful job of replacing all the florescent lighting in that huge room, something I wouldn't have wanted to do!

Great perspective! Nice guide to do that for you!

Last stop of the day before heading back to the airport to fly home was the Air Force memorial. One of the tour guides on one of the buses notice my hat had Air Force on it while we were there, and told me to stand by the base of one of the pillars that depicted the Thunderbirds starburst maneuver. She laid down on here back in front of me and panned her phone camera up for this vertical panorama.

Jimber! These are excellent! Did you buy the trigger too? I have been wanting to buy both and was wondering if you had the trigger as well.

So I purchased a water drop valve kit that makes water drop collisions doable. There is a lot of practice/trial and error ahead. Here are some of my first efforts.
