Very nice set...it must have been a blast.
It most defiantly was - as this was only my second time- one year ago was the first - I was able to reshoot some areas as well as shoot new ones - and even with the extra time this year I did skip 4 places on my list- June Lake Loop, Lundy Lake, Buckeye and Travertine Hot Springs - well there is next year - LOL

Beautiful set! We were there on October 13 on a one day drive from the Bay Area. We went up over Sonora Pass on CA 108, then the June Lake Loop, then CA 120 through Yosemite and back home; 492 miles, 14 hours and 222 images. It was a long day, but a good one. The colors at Silver Lake were beautiful. I need to do a little PP on a few of my images, but I have to learn Lightroom first (I'm going to start the tutorials today), so it will be a while before I post them.

US 395 is one of the best highways in California/Nevada. Love that ride. Great photos. I took this shot from the vista point overlooking Mono Lake. The winds were howling.

I have only driven a little of 395, but I just checked Google Maps and it looks like it would be a great drive to go all of the way from it's start near LA to where it ends at the Canadian border. Then go west to Canada 97 and up to Kelowna BC/the Okanagan, a beautiful area. Then drive Canada 1 (the Trans Canada Highway) to Banff, the most beautiful highway drive we've ever been on.
So many places to go.........
