I just got some photos selected to be published in an upcoming book produced by Lenswork so thought it was time to get some web presence. My online research suggested that Zenfolio is a good place to start. Any input from you folks would be helpful. Also, I am a newbie here at uglyhedgehog and this is my first here.

Squarespace makes it incredibly for those of us with zero html knowledge to quickly build and keep updated a web presence with your own URL. If you enter code HEATON at checkout, you get a free month.

If you have the Adobe Creative Cloud software, adobe portfolio is also a snap to use.

Zenfolio is great. You even get unlimited storage.

There are many good providers. Most use some sort of engine such as Word Press. However, there lies the rub as few have any cogent instructions other than a bunch of disjointed videos that do not progress in an orderly fashion through the production of a web site.

Be sure to have an idea what you want before you plunk down your money.

I have been with Smugmug and like it very much. Easy to use and you can create galleries and upload right from Lightroom. Also has shopping space for people to buy from your site. You can look at mine - it's listed under my UHH profile.

Thanks Daniel, Like your work and your gallery. Giving me something to think about. I thought that I had my mind made up but will give it some more thought.

SmugMug is what I use. Square space has no right click protection for your images. I have asked them about it twice in the last year. Not available as of the last time I checked.
