A Barred Owl Came to Visit Us Last Week

We had an unexpected visitor last week... a barred owl. Although very common in Vermont, I have never seen one in the nearly 25 years I have been here. He (or she - it is impossible to tell apparently) stayed for several hours and has returned a few times since. I hope you enjoy!

Great shots! I live in the Adirondacks and we have one we can hear calling most nights in the summer but I have yet to find him/her to try to get some shots.
