The fifth one of this group, where she has dappled lighting on her, doesn't work for me. I am sure there is a way to make dappled lighting work for portraits, but so far, I haven't done it yet either.

I agree! Very sunny and had to fight the dappling all day. I did like her expression, not for the wall but in a memory book. She actually liked this one so thats why I shared. :)

She focusses differently than we do when we view it. i understand.

Exactly! Must say, I am always hestiant to post a flawed image on UHH, even if other aspects are appealing, because us photographers usually look at the technical points.
