Evidence of a trend, or just a cycle?
Emanuel has his detractors, including Christopher Landsea, a meteorologist at the National Hurricane Center, who say that he and other modelers overestimate the likely boost in hurricane effects, in part because their data is incomplete. In papers and public talks, Landsea has suggested the g****l w*****g effect on hurricanes is virtually insignificant—an increase of about 1 to 2 mph in top windspeed, he says. Landsea believes that the flux in hurricane frequency and strength, including the past decade's more active hurricane trend, can be better explained by cyclic ups and downs called the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. Emanuel doubts the AMO's existence: he believes it's the result of reading too much into ambiguous data. Their debate is as old as climate science itself, having roots in an ongoing split in perspective between climate modelers and meteorologists.

result of reading too much into ambiguous data.
Really. Lol
You should buy you a farm an see how much the weather is changing. Then you would be able see how much change it has changes. Last 20 years it altering crops planting an harvest cycles. Your living in asphalt concrete jungles only having to deal with wet pavement an when to turn your wipers on. You really don't experience the changes. City living leaves you in the dark on this matter
Democrats are pushing G****l W*****g as an excuse to tax the people. That has always been their goal more and more taxes. Global Warning alarmist have been caught faking data dozens of times. There are no more hurricanes now than at any other time is history, as a matter of fact we just exited a 10 year period when they had none. If it get cold they say the WX is changing, if it gets hot they say the same thing. The WX has changed for the 4 billion years on earth and it will continue to change as long as the earth exists.

Like I said brother, the Hurricane theory is not settled, If you have time check my record on C*****e C****e and find that I have never called it a h**x, it is happening.
Did you then actually mean to say that Florida had none for ten years?
That's germane...
Esp for the folks in the panhandle right now!

So, you think there should never be another hurricane ever? Get real.

I do not understand how you came to that conclusion?
