Ok, I have not done this in a lot of years. Dragged out the lights and stands this week and set up to shoot the little guy. The kids are going back to Columbus and I want a few good pic while he was still a baby. They change so fast. Let me know what you think and what I am doing wrong. Want to get it right. There will be lots more to come over the years. :) I will post these in three posts so you can tell me what you think about each one. Thanks for your help and comments.

These are so adorable and very nice portraits!
What camera? Like you I did this professionally many years ago. It's like riding a bike...
Now I am inspired to get my lights and all again. But, alas my daugher is 11 and not so willing to pose for me.
Have a great day!
Steve :)

Thanks Steve. When you take shots like these they always look like they need something done to them. These are right out of the camera. I was wondering what you thought about the skin tones. Some could have used better focus in the other posts. But I didn't think I did to bad for not really haven done any in such a long time. :) The bulbs in the lights even worked. :)

Forgot to add: Bribe her with something small to start. After she see a few of the shots, the woman in her will kick in. Make her dress up, get Mom to do the makeup on a few of them. :) always worked for me back in the day. Have to have a lot of fun when you do it.:)

Hi Harrison.
She is wanting me to shoot video now while she dances and sings. I am not really a videographer, but I told her I'd give it a whirl next weekend. Here is a shot of her when she was two...
Canon EOS A2 with 28-80mm lens

Hi Steven
She was a cutie. If she is up for video just have your camera sitting there ready and tell her you want a few stills too. :)

Looking good. PP not needed in them. Retouching, may be, depending on what look you want. Some people expect that poreless soft and retouched look (the kind you get from portrait prof. etc.) for studio photos. I usually ask my clients what they want, normal or glamorous look.

That is the first time I have dragged everything out in years. Glad I save all the old junk. Was a fun day with the kids. And I thought for just throwing it all together fast, I did pretty good. But it is different when you look at your own pictures. They don't look very good some times. :)

Good thing you kept them. Those lights have become quite expensive these days. I should know, I had to buy them. You've gotten better with them as you shot more of'em.
