No, I write to answer the question. If you follow my comments here, you'll sometimes see an answer that differs quite a bit from the common wisdom. It may not appear to answer the question AS PRESENTED, but may, in fact, address the actual problem. Quite often, a *symptom* results in a question based on a pre-conceived supposition that sends folks down a rat hole on a wild goose chase. In other words, things are not always what they seem.

After 33 years of troubleshooting WEIRD professional photography problems in a lab, I know that his lens IS NOT likely to be the problem. These days, no self-respecting camera company on Earth would ship a lens with a noticeable color cast to it... At least not noticeable by comparison with other lenses of the same type from the same manufacturer. Coatings do vary from one manufacturer to the next, but usually not more than 1/6 of a stop in any direction (.05CC), and seldom more than a point or two.

In any case, the use of a custom/preset/manual white balance will eliminate the problem with the OP's JPEGs. There is no problem with raw files; you can dial in any white balance you want in post-production. It does help to have a white balance reference target, though.
