Can anyone tell me how reliable mpb is. I somehow got their newsletter emailed and am curious.
What does "mpb" stand for?

I have bought and sold several cameras with them. They are a good outfit to deal with.
They do give a warranty on their equipment.
Forget how long it is. I think they give the best price on buying your items, better than KEH or B&H.

Since learning about the used market, I purposed only used cameras and have never had a problem. Mine have come from KEH, but others have reported good experiences at mpb.
Two of my 3 bodies were purchased used at my local photography store. Both of them were in excellent condition with low shutter counts. I know they were checked out before I bought them and I had 90 days to return them. Had a professional photographer and writer tell me that he rarely buys new as most people take very good care of their gear so he has always been able to find great deals.

I didn't know who they were, either, so I Googled them.
I have purchased several items from them. No problems at all.

They started in the UK and came to the USA. Friends tell me they are very similar to KEH. Go to their website and compare.
http://www.mpb.comhttp://www.keh.comI’ve used KEH for several items. Everything was better than expected.

I bought an A7ii in "Excellent" condition, for a very good price 6 months ago from MPB. It had 418 clicks and couldn't tell from new.
Camera takes great images with no problems (knock on wood).
They respond to questions quickly and ship the same way, I'd buy again without hesitation.
MPB is a first rate operation. No idea how long they've been on the scene, but the interactions/purchases I've had with them rank right up there with other similar outfits (KEH, B&H, etc., etc., etc.) for a whole lot of years.
Thank you all for the feedback. I appreciate your help. Now all I need is the money.

Uncldave, go to this website, scroll all the way to the bottom, and click on "Terms and Conditions." Read through this especially the sections of "Returns" and "Claims." If you can live with that, you're good to go.

I have bought mostly used gear since I joined the DSLR generation.
I’ve used eBay (cautiously), online dealers with good reputations, local camera ships, and pawnshops. We have much more gear than we could have afforded new, and haven’t been burned so far.
