I opened up lightroom and the only photos were the last ones I loaded onto it last weekend. Others had disappeared . Any ideas to get them back?
Thanks so much

Which Lightroom? CC or CC Classic?

If you allow it, Lightroom makes a backup of your catalog. If your catalog is corrupted, you can revert to the backup.

Might you have moved the files in the operating system and not LR? Also in Library mode, that drop down menu has an option called "Find Missing Photos". That might help.

If you are using Classic, it looks like, from your brief description, that you may gave started a new catalog in the import sequence last weekend.

Did you do the October Windows 10 update? There was an issue with disappearing files.

In LR Classic, I don't "do" the other one, it is fairly easy to get confused about which catalog is which if you don't watch out. Assuming you know the name of your main catalog you can find it by holding down the option/alt key while then opening the LR program. A box will come up and it will show all of your LR catalogs. You can click on the one you want to choose and open it. Organization on your hard drive is essential to success with LR. Also be sure that you know the name of the catalog that you are primarily working in and that it is the correct catalog that is opening up. Assuming this is the problem I am talking about you can then simply link up the photos to the correct catalog. To trash an unwanted catalog simply drag it and the preview file into the trash can. This will not affect any images, only the LR catalog.

Are your images on the computer's hard drive or an external drive? If on an external drive, the second time you attached it, computer may have re-assigned a new alphabet (e.g., first time E: drive send time G: drive). If this happens, first make sure the drive name does not change.

Try this.

In the left hand side-bar is a list of selections near the top. the last item is "Previous Import." If you've checked that, all you'll see is your last import.

Be sure you've checked the top selection - "All Photographs." That should allow you to see the rest of your work.
