My wife and I went to Maine over this long weekend. It was our first vacation since my lung transplant 5 months ago. OK, what has this to do with photography you ask? The anti rejection and immunosupprest drugs give me tremors in my hands. I need to use my monopole or my tripods. Since it takes time and my limited energy to set up the equipment I have learned to be be selective, plan ahead and think. Following the advice I have read on Forum I paid attention to where the sun was and was going to be. (when a CPL would work and when it would not.) Not to say I didn't just snap vacation pictures. Took the camera off
of auto and had fun. I thank everyone on this Forum for all the great information imparted to all of the members.
Congratulations on taking on a trip and photographing it only 5 months after your transplant. I know it wasn't easy as I had a kidney transplant 3 years ago and still experience issues.
Amen to you both and keep up the work!!
love maine... lets see some pics
Congratulations on your, what sounds like a successful transplant. And good for you for getting out and staying active.

Would love to see some of the pictures.... so happy you're able to get out and about. Organ donation is such an important thing for people to think about. Maybe seeing your photos and knowing your background (as well as jw and his kidney transplant) will inspire people to think about signing an organ donor card. Every minute a life is extended is a very precious gift. Gosh now you've got me with tears in my eyes... sorry :(

Congratulations
Had colon cancer 3 years ago with 2 sessions of chemotherapy with 3/4 of my liver removed in between. Still have bad side effects even though the cancer is cured.
Reading this-- it sure is great to read success stories!
NOW-- show us those Maine pics! I haven't been there since 1986--beautiful country.

SunsetKevin,
How did you get the posterization affect?
John,
Iwas messing with CS# a few years ago. Wanted to get something different. I believe it was rastorize but really don't remember, I just liked the effect. I then went in and colored the eyes.
Sorry I an't be of more help.
congrats on what appears to be a successful procedure. One of the best medicines is staying positive and you seem to be doing just that.

Best to both of you and stay well and keep those cameras shooting, it is such a wonderful hobby.
I also traveled to ME over the Columbus Day holiday. We stayed in Alfred, ME just south of Biddeford. I was disappointed the trees hadn't turned there yet so Sat. morning I called the tourist bureau and asked where in ME was the peak foliage. I was told around Presque Isle near the Canadian border. We didn't venture up that far but did go to BoothBay Harbor and got some nice shots there, we also went to Portland and Old Orchard Beach. If you go to Portland fish piers be sure to check out Widgery Warf, that's my favorite to watch the lobstermen and their colorful shacks, a must see which is off Commercial St.
