Nikon 300 mm PF

I have the Nikon 7500 and recently bought a refurb Nikon 300mm PF. The combination has yielded some very nice images. Looking at old wildlife photos I made with the full-frame D610 (which I dropped, sadly) and the (long gone) old 300mm f/4, the images were very sharp. Question: Now that there D750 is getting within my price range, can anyone advise me whether the FX is worth the upgrade or to stick with the DX?

Why do you think the D750 is an upgrade to your D7500? If anyone should know it should be you. The D750 is the same as the D610 but focuses in lower light conditions. How did the D610 compare to your new camera. I think high end lenses would make a bigger improvement.

I use the Nikon 300mm PF more for sports. Usually on a D500 or D5, sometimes on a D750. I posted my first shot with than lens here, I think I had it on my D850 at the time. My point...I thinking that this lens will produce tack sharp shots on any body.

Stick with the D7500, or purchase a good quality second hand D500 and a Nikkor TC14EIII if you are a wildlife photographer. Though I shoot full frame, I have never understood why some photographers believe full frame is an upgrade from APS-C or M43. I have used all three formats extensively and the only real difference I have ever noticed is in low light. If I lived in an area with open fields and skies I would still shoot APS-C and M43.

If you are interested in photographing wildlife, DX is the best option. 50% narrower field of view. Your 300mm lens has a 450mm effective field of view on the a DX. Nothing wrong with the D7500, unless you find the buffer is too small--in which case, trade it in on the best wildlife camera available today: the D500.

The only difference between the 610 and the 750 is the 750 focuses faster and better in low light condition I own both of them using the same lens that is the only thing that I noticed

Couldn't agree more, except for one point. If you shoot a lot of portraits full frame will make it easier for you to get an out of focus background. I'm going to Hong Kong and Guangzhou shortly and taking my D750 in preference to a DX camera. Why? Because hand held blue hour and night shots are important to me, as well as lots of low light interiors.
