👍 Some will prefer a smaller aperture for a greater depth of field. But the soft out of focus areas can also be nice.

I was trying to go for a shallow depth of field, the better to emphasize the violet detail. Kind of liking the blurred look, even for simply the color for laptop desktop display. Tried 3 different lenses and a tripod. The secret lives of violets...

Beautiful "takes time" study. Up close and personal. Few take the time to look closely in one presentation. I tip my hat to you Gspeed.

I wonder if my new Panasonic TZ100 with its Post-Focus would do its magic well in such a study. In a half second it takes many photos at many focus points. Discussion:
