I saw the photo and wondered how anyone could get such an amazing shot. Guess there is a lot of truth in the old adage that practice makes perfect. Thanks for sharing the link.

It is a great shot but my personal favorite of her is that fantastic smile of excitement captured after she won the individual gold. Plan on doing some gymnastics work this season and hope I can get close to shots like this. The sports photographer I shoot baseball with has a number of shots like this and so I feel you just need a fast lens and a camera that can give you 8-10 fps. He shoots with a D3 and a 70-200mm 2.8. I've got the lens now I just need to get that D7000 body...........

Don't know if it is the same photographer but the shots of her on the uneven bars are fantastic. Hopefully some of these great shooters will share their techniques and such in some photo magazines. These last shot were possibly shot by 2 different photographers because some are from Getty Images and some were on Reuters........
