Thank you kindly, DJphoto. My pleasure. Nice to hear that Quebec is on your to-do list. Unless you like the winter, I find that the best time to visit Quebec is in early summer (June) or the fall. July and August are great months, but that is prime tourist season and it is crowded downtown.

We are thinking of somewhere around late June as part of a trip along the coast of Maine; is early-mid in June better than late June?

DJphoto, Mid June to the end of June would be preferable to early June. The weather here in early June is often capricious. By the end of June you are starting to see more tourists, but that goes with the territory. However, June is a great time to come, as is the end of September and early October. As next June approaches, contact me, if you wish, and I'll point out a few things that might interest you on your trip. BTW, the east coast of Maine is an absolutely beautiful area to visit. I love it there.

Thanks for the information. I teach part time at a local university, so my fall travel times are somewhat short. We have a fall colors trip planned, that is a loop from the Boston area, all of the way up the main coast, then Stowe, the Kancamagus highway, Conway, then fly home. I don't think we can squeeze Quebec City in then. We are also planning a similar spring trip that would include Quebec City. I'm finished teaching in late May, so that timing works for us.
