New take on a sundial, time stamp your photos.

This was taken at the veterans war memorial park.
The side you see is viewed in the summer months, you view the winter months on the reverse side. I thought it was cool.

What angle is this dial sitting at? I guess I don't get how it can read the time when it is not horizontal to the ground. Is it actually reading 1130 AM? At least you got me wondering about it.

Yes, it was 11:30. Here is a shot of the other side.
The steel pole goes into the disk at 90 degrees. Since the pole goes into the ground, this leaves the disk at an angle.

In the summer, the hdr version is the side you view and then when the sun dips south for the winter you use this side.

Now I'm wondering what happens during the equinox.

I would guesstimate it to 30 degrees off from vertical.

This is such a unique sundial that I visit frequently.
