Just curious as to if anyone here had/has one of these cool little books of information?
Ha, not anymore...
But I still have Kodak's "Here's How Book of Photography", 1971 in hardback. No cover though.
Yes, I have one from way back.
I cleaned out a closet storage bin last year and gave my last one to the daughter who helped. She has it in her vintage photography collection started well before she earned her B.A. in Print Making from RISD. If you want to part with yours if sure there's someone who will treasure it.

OOPS. Just looked in my photography bookshelves and it seems there's a third one here. This one is in the middle for age. First Printing of 1965 for a very low $1.95.

Noooooo .... thaz not the Guide. The Guide is full
of charts, and slide-rule-like dials, that calculate
exposure, DoF, lighting ratios, magnification, etc.
IOW it's not really "a book", it's a
device. It's not
for reading. The Guide has no body text, just the
briefest instructions for each chart or dial. It's a
very useful, even amusing, analog computer. No
one posted any interior views, just the cover, so
it LOOKS like a book. Somebody who owns one
will, I hope, post shots of its innards :-)

oooOOOPPZzz .....
I am such a freakin BOZO !
Parted with my Guides decades ago ... but I'm
using the online wifi at a friend's Photo Center,
which is a gallery, museum, and 20,000 book
library ! So, here are a few interior views of a
Kodak Master Photo Guide :-)

Yep, seems there is a big difference between a "Master Photoguide" and my "Pocket Guide to 35mm Photography". Hey, I'm just a kid in my 70's
so I know I still have a lot to learn. chase

Here you are. These are my most used pages (especially the developing computer) from my original data book. As you can see, it is well used. This is the guide I used in the DaNang PIO darkroom in 1968 & 1969, and I still use it today - still relevant after 50 years (although Iām not so sure about myself š).

Yep. Very handy. It answers some lighting questions that keep coming up on this forum.
Many Kodak technical publications were excellent. Three of my favorites:
Professional Portrait Techniques (Kodak Publication O-4, 1980, 1987)
(originally included a set of gray cards for different key:fill light ratios)
Photographic Filters Handbook (1990)
Kodak Reference Handbook: Materials, Processes, Techniques (1947)
(includes formulas for developers, fixers, etc.)
My favorite. It's still pretty handy!
