Still don’t understand it. I question your constant negativity concerning camera manufacturers. What is any of that have to do with honesty?

Post some shots - after all this is a photography forum.

Do you have any finanical or business connection to any camera manufacturer?

Simple question: how about an answer?

Dealers post on-line without disclosing they are dealers; employees post on-line
without declosing they are employees, and some companies even pay people to
post. Having a conflict of interest and not diclosing it is dishonest.

Now, you can understand that, tdekany, can't you?

So football fans, here's my playbook if I were managing Sony's camera division.
Actually, there's only one play in it, a play-action pass:

1. Discontinue DSLRs. (Done.)

2. Introduce a full-frame mirrorless. (Done.)

3. Wait for Canon and Nikon to introduce "Me too!" copycat products. (Done.)
(Which doesn't mean they are bad products, incidentally--quite the contrary.
But if you're KFC, going into the burger business is not a great idea.)

4. Wait until Canon and Nikon are fully committed to mirrorless and their new
full-frame mirrorless products are canabalizing sales of their flagship full-frame
DSLR products.

5. Now the pass: cut price across the board on Sony full-frame mirrorless
cameras by 20% to 30%.

Touchdown!

When it comes to manufacturing consumer products at low cost, Sony is
the Los Angeles Rams, Canon is the Oakland Raiders, and Nikon is the
San Francisco 49ers.

This is not the way I want the game to end: I'm a 49ers fan. But it does seem
very likely.

Love them or loathe them, an interesting new podcast from Tony Northrup (Chelsea Northrup injured herself playing soccer and was absent here). (1.1 million subscribers and growing). What do you think of what Tony says here ?

It read like you were accusing me of being involved in some way, but of all people I couldn’t in a million years figure why of all things, you would think that I was an insider trying to schill/troll. What ever gave you that idea?

I simply asked you to post a photo, instead of flexing some nonexistent muscles against the camera companies when they are not here to defend themselves.

So I’m going to suggest again, why not get a job if you think you know better?

The frustration that comes across in your posts is due to that you can’t think like a Japanese.

As far as me being in the camera industry, let’s put it to rest.

Now how about some pictures to prove that you actually have a camera?

UPDATED WITH THREE MORE THIS MORNING 11/2 (all shot at f1.4 with my Sony A7RIII and New Sony 24mm f1.4 G-Master lens): NEW THREE Fisherman; leaves and berries; and a B&W ( LR preset) of shot of two early morning fishermen .

With my A7RIII and my Sony 24mm f1.4 GM lens. A couple of quick grab shots while out today along my nearby lake. A fisherman is in the background along the lake bank, but I focused on a leaf hanging from a tree branch swaying in the wind and backlit by the sun. . First the cropped shot and then the full shot showing nice bokeh of the sun reflected off the surface of the lake. .. And a ground level shot of a leaf, showing the nice bokeh at f1.4. Due to the high wind these all were shot at 1/2000 sec, f1.4, ISO 125, 24mm. . More to come. Loving this lens.

A link here included to DPReview's extensive testing of Nikon Z-7 camera, and their objective comparison of the Z-7 to the Sony A7RIII, its closest competitor.
https://www.sonyalpharumors.com/nikon-z7-reviewed-by-dpreview-overall-the-a7r-iii-will-likely-be-the-more-capable-option-for-most-users/?fbclid=IwAR1E3mzRhtc40l5LTcnFolmlk6DhNHccVt2kqAVdphGBAanwCcZez2Llxlk

A key quote from DPReview:
"Just an additional note: I keep reading that Nikon had it hard because it’s their first generation of mirrorless cameras. But I never heard the counter argument that in many aspects they actually had a much “easier” job to do than Sony. They knew in advance what they were competiting with, they knew in advance what people like and disliked from Sony cameras. To me this must balance the “first generation” argument. Sony had to figure out everything all alone in these years…"

Although a lot of what Tony said was true and acturate, Tony made some assumptions and had some inconsistencies in his use of the data. Unless bridge/P&S and MF cameras die first, 4/3rds is not dead.
