How To Import Contacts to Windows 10 Live

Had a computer virus and had to reload all my files, but have run into a problem importing my Contacts to Windows Live. I read that you load the contacts using the People app. Tried that, but didn't get far. Can someone tell me the steps to take?

Appreciate it and thanks in advance.

Do you still have the Contacts folder after reinstalling?

If you are using the old Microsoft Live Mail 2012, you can import your Contact List by:

* Click on the Contact folder (below the Mail and Calendar folder) on the left side of the screen
* Click on the Home tab at the top of the screen
* Click on the Import button under the Home tab
* Select the format of the saved Contact List - probably CSV (Comma Separated Values)
* Browse to and Open the saved Contact List File
* Click Next
* Select the fields you want to import
* Click Finish

I can sympathize. When I need help doing some computer operation, I search online. The directions I get are often for an older version of whatever program I'm using, so they don't work. Everything posted online should have a date on it.

I found this. Windows Live Mail data files are stored in the following location:

C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\. Might help.

Why not Chat with Microsoft. They will help you solve the issue. I've done that multiple times.
Here is a link to get started. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/

Couldn't find any Contact Folder. I checked using the Mail app to see what folders were listed.

Will do. I've been ill and haven't got to it yet. Thanks for the reminder.
