I recently was on a trip to South America. Took about 1800 photos. After coming home I found out that the sensor of camera had a piece stuck on it. Now all my photos have this object showing. I have attached one photo that shows this object. It looks like a staple on the left side about half way. Is there an easy way to remove this object from these photos. I have Photoshop PS6. I also need to have the sensor cleaned. Can I be able to clean the sensor. I have never done it before.

Please help.

Looks like lint. I'd try a blower (like Rocket Blaster) first (NOT compressed air).

Thanks. I have a smaller blower. I will try to clean it.

On close inspection there are many smaller round sensor dust spots that may show up in a print. Try clone tool or spot healing brush to fix the ones you've already shot. (and Ed has posted an example while I was typing!)

I'm using Photoshop CC, but if my poor memory is correct, in PS CS6 there is a "spot healing brush" that should be able to fix each blemish. By the way, there are more spots than just the "staple" looking spot...those are dust spots too. I'm sure there are folks on this site that can tell how to do it globally (on all the photos at once), but I'm not smart enough for that....but one photo at a time, the spot healing brush should do the trick. As far as cleaning the sensor, I've never personally done it myself, but I have watched mine being cleaned many times and it looks easy enough, but if it were me and my expensive camera....I'd take it to a pro....I lack the confidence in myself that I'd do something wrong and screw up my sensor, so a getting a pro to do it is my suggestion. Many folks on here may have other ideas. Good luck.

Thanks for advice. Looking forward to see if someone can show me the trick to correct all photos globally.

In ACR there is healing brush. When that option is selected, on the lower right there is an option to Visualize Spots.
When that option is checked, you will be able to see any 'oddities' in the sky. From there you can size your brush and heal as necessary. Real time saver for me.

Yes. But the problem will exist in other pictures. I would as you stated use a blower to remove the object.

If you’re near a good camera store, they may offer a cleaning service. Mine, Hunt’s, does and even offers discounted cleaning from time to time.
