Friend wants to sell very nice, fully working Nikkormat EL SLR camera body. 3 lenses, extender, and Flash (all caps and pouches on lenses.

For those who are not aware. Nikkormats (and similar spellings) are Nikon built, Japanese Home market camera's. Not shipped out of japanese markets as Nikons were to world wide markets. Built with the same rugged technology as expected with Nikon. I have often owned and used Nikkormat (Nikkomat and Nikomat name variations) in these excellent cameras brought back from Japan. Models followed Nikon types in operation and program functions. Shown here is an excellent, fully functional Nikkormat EL, with fresh battery under the mirror. Copal (vertical shutter).

Nikon Nikkor 50mm f2 excellent glass and caps
Vivitar 28mm F2 w SN indicating built by excellent glass mfr KIRON
Vivitar 75-200 SN 37 indicates Tokina Built. This lens has a matching extender at 2X in own case.

Thyristor Flash. All lenses have pouches All pics show caps, filters (haze) and Clean condition with clean clear optics.

Back in the 60's and 70's Nikkormats were sold in the United States. They were the fixed pentaprism models, not the Nikon F with removable pentaprisms. Beginning with the FM and FE models they dropped the Nikkormat name.

For anyone interested in this decent manual focus film outfit, be aware that the EL was not an AI indexing camera. Its successor was the EL2, which was an AI body. Nonetheless, this looks like a great buy.

I must take exception. The spelling Nikomat was domestic Japanese market. The Nikkormat was exported to the US. It was a slightly less extensive (and less expensive) version of the F.

I think your friend is asking too high price for the camera and lenses. Top price to me would be $175.00 for everything. Just because it made by Nikon does not say it top dollar. I not putting down a Nikkormat, it is a dam good camera. What was that ad "It can take a beating and keep on ticking" that Nikkormat for you.
