This fellow lived under the corner of my shed for most of the summer, wasn't aggressive but would never back down.
I could find him almost any early morning, out sunning himself.
AND no mice in the shed this year.

He(she) is a beauty, Nice Shot! They are the best for rodents, followed by hawks/owls, cats...… Glad you appreciate his efforts, too many folks just see a snake, and kill it. sad. We have a snake called the Florida Water Snake, who unfortunately looks a little bit like a threat (to the uninitiated), and since they swim a lot, people always think they are Water Moccasins. It's a wonder any are left, the Rattlers have already suffered greatly, have not seen one in a few years (and I'm in the country). I have a lot of Black Snakes, Rat Snakes(corn snakes to some), Garter Snakes and Florida Water Snakes... and try to keep them around. They do good work!
Have not yet seen any Pythons or Anacondas this far north of the Everglades, but I hear they are becoming accustomed to the climate and interbreeding with Rock Pythons and moving north. Not looking forward to their appearance in our area. Monitor lizards have also become a concern here. I was happy with just having alligators!!!!

Nice shots! What a beautiful snake. Judging by it's girth, I would say it's eating well in the shed!! Gary
