I can zoom from 24 to about 50 then get a message to turn off and turn on the camera. Happens every time. Anyone with this camera ring into this?
Thanks in advance

My LX100 is about three years old and I haven't experienced your issue.
I own this nice little camera and have not had this issue. However, from past experiences, if the zoom is forcefully stopped or jammed during a zoom cycle, it could either freak out, or damage the mechanisms inside, causing the error you are getting.
Hopefully the earlier suggestion about taking out the battery, waiting a few minutes, and then trying again will do it for you. If it doesn't, sounds like a discussion with Panasonic.
Did you try doing a Reset, Gene?? Might be worth a try.
Gene,
I've put my LX100 in a small case and accidentally bumped the switch to on. The lens extends and jambs. I get a similar warning. So far, wiggling the lens got it unstuck and working.

Thanks for the reply Jerry. I just got back from Venice and changed the battery every day. Appreciate your response!

Thanks for your response. Changing the batter did not help. However, if I don’t solve it a chat with Panasonic is a for sure. Appreciate the input.

Thanks Bill. I will give it a gentle wiggle!
