Allbuquerque Balloon Fiesta and Trains

This week is the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. There are 567 Balloons registered for this year's fiesta. This morning's launch, Monday, Oct 08, was a good one in that it looked like all 567 balloons took to the air. There are some 80 special shapes and they come in all kinds of shapes. In the past, we have even had locomotive balloons. I've uploaded two photos of the Orient Express balloon. The last of the three photos is from this morning's launch...this is only a very small fraction of the total number of balloons launched this morning.

Great photos, Fred! I’ve been in Albuquerque previously at the time of the balloon fest and it is indeed an awesome sight in a very interesting city.

Like the last one best with the clouds in the background. Amazing how these things even go up.
