The light seemed bright but that was my eyes and brain compensating. Auto ISO still went up anywhere from 1250 to 3200. The sun was shinning but the sky was a washed out blue grey, so a lot of moisture/haze/dust. The 1.4x upped my Fstop to 8.0 contributed also. These shots have a lot of noise.
4 shots,
1. woodpecker exploring the 4x4 of the swing set, pecking etc-just now out there doing it again and calling-getting an answer- I checked, peanuts etc gone from the feeder they like. So I did a refill.
80D, 100-400+1.4 @ 560, 1/800 @ f/8.0, ISO 1000 hand held, spot meter, no flash.
2. on another 4x4 showing use of tail as third leg of tripod
80D, 100-400+1.4 @ 560, 1/1000 @ f/8.0, ISO 1250 hand held, spot meter, no flash.
3. on the rim of the terracotta saucer where I put a mix of bird seed and peanuts - Hmm, which one looks good?
80D, 100-400+1.4 @ 560, 1/800 @ f/8.0, ISO 2000 hand held, spot meter, no flash.
4. This one is Mine everyone else back off!

Tomorrow is my birthday, but I turn 73 not 973. At least I don't think I have lived that long. Though there were several days when I was teaching Jr High School that seemed a couple of centuries long.
