If the contest were for straight from the camera, 3 would be the choice. If you're editing however, 1 in my opinion because of the wave and the sun reflected on the rocks has more potential. I would select the sky and reduce the exposure and add dehaze to make it more dramatic. The rest stands as is.
I like #3- the sun is too much for me in the first 2

Number 3---definitely! All are great pics.
I like the first one. That's because I like big splashes and I like the lighting on the rocks.

My vote is number 1. But all three of course, are great.

Montana De Oro, about 40 minutes southwest of Paso Robles
I'd vote for #1. The powerful sun makes it for me.
I like the one with the person wearing a heavy coat, long scarf and big boots.

I think the warmer tone of number 1 and the better contrast makes a more compelling shot. Your revision of #3 makes it a close second but the warm highlights on the rocks pulls the shot together better for me.
Nice work (still have the hood loop viewer ? )

I sold the Hoodman, shipping out tomorrow. I bought a Sony a7 III which is live view through the EVF so no need for it.
Interestingly I shot these pictures with the new camera and the Sony walk-around 24-105 lens

I thought you had sold all your Canon gear. Looks like the 'replacement' does a really good job. (Of course the photographer has a little to do with the great shots too !)
