Nice pic@! After years of hearing about bluebonnets from family who had moved to Fort Worth area, I finally went there this Spring. It was even better than I imagined! Fields and fields of blue!

Very cool! We have Lupines in California as well, but our common species, Lupinus albifrons is not called a Bluebonnet as a common local name. The Bluebonnet has an interesting history in Texas.

I was told there was just enough cool weather to keep the grasses down and enough rain for the flowers. We went to Meadowview Park in Ennis the day before the Bluebonnet Festival, beautiful sunny day, rain on Festival Day so we were fortunate.
