I have many lens for my Nikons that I would like to use on my Sony. I have studied the converters and know which ones work with my equipment ($350) but would like to know if the quality will be as good, not just "sorta working".

I'm missing my fisheye and 105 micro but not wanting to buy another one for the Sony.

Rent it first and check how it works with your Nikon lenses

My large accumulation of Nikkors was the main reason for
my using Sony a7-II. No regrets. I use dumb adapters so
I never have any problems. Acoarst all my lenses have an
aperture control ring.

I bought a Sony camera body E fit from Ebay, initially, to use my Leica 39 screw lenses once again. The glassless adapter works a treat with the manual focus peaking system of the Sony body. Following on from the Leitz lens re-birth, I bought an adapter for my Super Takumar lenses. All manual focus, all with aperture ring. What the heck, I thought, I've got Nikkor MF lenses that cannot be used on my Nikon Digital bodies (28mm PC.. 85mm F/1.8...200- 600mm zoom...70 - 200 zoom) Perhaps others lying 'Dormant', waiting for a new lease of life, attached to the Sony body. I did not intend to fully switch over to a Sony 'All singing -all dancing system. Just wanted to use the lenses once again , now that I do not have the constraints of 'Press Photography' speed mayhem. My photography, along with the Leica...Takumar...and Nikon MF lenses, are all enjoying a 'New Lease of LIFE'.
