Another super Free Sunday. Sorry I wasn't around. Dad and I are going on an "Honor Flight" to Washington DC Wednesday, and had to go to Kansas City after church to attend a meet and greet gathering for the 53 veterans and the 53 guardians going with them. It will be a one long day affair to visit the various memorials for veterans. I wasn't able to get on the flight as a Viet Nam Vet. Their waiting list is too long. But I was able to get accepted as a guardian to go with my WWII veteran father. He was honored as the oldest veteran going on this "Honor Flight". Looking forward to the experience but I may be restricted from shooting as many photographs do to the guardian duties I've signed up for.
All your posts are great, and thanks for the comments on my openers. Those upper clouds had some pretty wild formations. That was sunrise Saturday morning I'll leave you with a couple of sunsets. One from our Thursday night tennis match and a panorama from my granddaughter in California.

Roof repairs were being done on our church building this week and on Friday the contractor took me up in his JLG "cherry picker" for a bird's eye view of the roof and the neighborhood. It was quite an experience!

The mini-Kelpies. At a tenth the size of the 90' originals located in Falkirk, the minis travel to different locations in Scotland. I saw these in front of a mall in Inverness and spent so much time shooting them that I came literally within minutes of missing my train! My husband, who was on board waiting for me, read me the riot act halfway to Thurso!!
Pg 7 - Sue, these mini-Kelpies are really awesome to view
in download...so many welds! Great job!

Here's one our church's roofing contractor took on his cell phone after moving the JLG across the street to a vacant lot. Sure wish I had been on that thing to take the shot with my camera!
Sue, I loved the whole series you took while up in the JLG cherry picker; I sold
many, many electrical components to JLG years ago that were used to shut the
unit down if it was in danger of tilting...one of the engineers took me up in a prototype
unit years ago that I had supplied all the controls for, and he took it way, way
up, extended it over the short side of the body, and then he started jumping
up and down in the basket...I was standing in one of the corners, right beside
the small door when it came open while were were about 75 feet in the air.
I BEGGED him to put me down NOW! LOL
A view of Waterloo, Iowa airport at 1000 feet above ground, I was doing touch and gos while a Boeing 747 doing the same, just different pattern. Sorry Picture is faded from the years.
