Finally after 3 weeks, which I was expecting, I got my new lens from Russia.

It is a bit tricky. I believe once I get to know it better that it will be one of my favorites. This is the vintage lens with adapter, Helios 44-2.

Beautiful work with your new Helios, Sandy! I love the color saturation. Very rich but not over-saturated. I'm going to order a Helios lens, but I'm not sure if this is the one, because I can't remember the number.

Thank you Donna. We are up late! Mine is Helios 44-2, 2.58 with adapter for Canon. I will look up info and let you know where I got mine. A Russian lens company but no problem other than 3 week delivery which is norm with standard shipping and going through Customs. Maybe ebay or Amazon would be quicker if you can locate a good one. Rather a gamble either way. Can't wait for you to get one. It will be a gem for you and your talents.

Sandy, looking good. I like the set of photos and the more we use these lenses the better photo we get.

Thank you, Sandy! I just found it, and it's the Helios 44-2. I'm going to check with Amazon today. Can't wait to try it out, but I know I won't be getting results like yours! I wonder if I can use the same adapter for Canon that I bought to use with an old Sears lens.

I am not sure about the adapter. Google sites as I did trying to find out info. I have so many questions as it is tricky to use as I said. It does not like bright light. On one of the sights I learned to put it on manual and also shoot with a high shutter speed because of light. I am not sure how much of my Canon 70d is connecting if you know what I am saying. Have tried to contact 2 Lil Owls as this blogger has posted beautiful shots with this lens. I asked for tips, etc. Hopefully I will hear from her and will pass on to you if I do. Keep me posted. Excited for you.
