I don't remember the details either, those cars have been collecting there for quite some time. I believe that in many states diesel cars and light trucks are exempt from smog checks. My F250 with a 7.3 L turbo diesel has never been tested because Colorado doesn't require it so you so have wonder how they got caught. Maybe it was a state that does check emissions like California who received 25 million for a clean air fund. It would be interesting to find out how they plan on sucking the pollutants back out of the air.
