Well, not really...but I did pass through Cincinnati Ohio. Hi Folks, I often take photos thru the car windows when I travel. I bet many of you do too. Couldn't pass up this view when we topped the hill in Covington Kentucky of the Cincinnati skyline. Wish those pesky light poles weren't there though. Anyway...thought I'd share one of my travel photos. It's nothing spectacular but something I do to document our travels. Ps. My wife was driving. Oh, and for those of you overseas who might be confused about my title. WKRP was the call letters for a fictitious TV show about the comical goings on at a radio station in Cincinnati. During its day, it was a very popular TV show.

I actually think the light poles don't detract from the photo. Combined with the road, they provide leading lines into the city.

I've been to Cincinnati a number of times. Some great photo opportunities there!

I thought about the leading lines too. Just wish I'd timed this better so the one (nearest) pole wasn't covering up the building. Oh, well...you get what you get. I still like the shot. Yes, I'd love to spend a couple days in Cincinnati. So far we've always just passed through. Thanks for your thoughts.

Well, it was certainly a lot safer (and smarter) than standing at the same point and trying to get the same shot.

My windows are usually too bug splattered and dirty to get a decent shot, so I rarely ever try to take a photo through the window, but enjoy seeing yours.

Thanks, people probably think I'm a bit crazy, I probably am...but I carry Dollar Store (foaming) window cleaner and paper towels. I keep my windows as clean as possible when traveling. That's because my camera AF is so sensitive, it will focus on bug splatters first. I've missed a few neat shots because of that...so I just keep em clean as best I can. Also use a polarizing filter...which does a great job of eliminating reflections.

What a great scene and capture James. I think the lights add to the scene.

Thanks Sylvia...I'm still on the fence on this one. I like em, but then I don't like em. Anyway, this was a breathtaking scene once we got over the hill...Poof, there it was. Glad I was ready.

James, I apologize for interceding in your posting, but I thought you might like to see your image without the leading lines poles.
I did this just for your own interest and to satisfy your curiosity as stated in your original post, and I mean no offense in coopting your post.

You will notice that the Snapheal program used created some unusual artifacts involving the coliseum-like building and its surroundings. My purpose was to satisfy your curiosity about a cleaner highway image, and not to create a finished image.

Thanks Karin...I really enjoyed my short time in Ohio. Almost got to Cleveland, but our destination was Cedar Point near Sandusky.
