Nikon DX telephoto zoom recommendations

I guess you’ve missed the multiple times that I’ve said I can no longer hand hold long glass at acceptable shutter speeds. I’ve been shooting SLRs since the early 1960s, I’ve built homemade stabilizers,and I know how to properly brace myself to create a triangle.

Thank you for your suggestions, but, I NEED VS TO SHOOT 200 OR LONGER these days.

I'm with Gene on this one. The Nikon 70-300 AF-P DX is a lens a friend of mine absolutely loves. It can be found used if you look around for considerably less. He has it coupled to a D7000 when he's not shooting landscapes.

I was feeling "cranky" last night (I should have ignored the comments), been glued to the hurricane coverage, so glad we don't live in the panhandle of Fl. Looking like a 150 mph buzz saw going at them, pushing a 20-25 ft. wall of water, hope they all left town!
