Looking for honest input. I haven't entered a photo contest in a few years, but everyone is telling me to enter these images?
Honest thoughts??

No images loaded.
Depends on the contest
They are 95% subjective and no matter how good they are you will lose if they don't like your submittal.
The image is nice but I would try cropping the left and bottom birds out and see how it looks.
Very nice image! Whether the image is contest worthy depends on the rules of the specific contest, the standard procedures established for the contest website, and, sadly, the subjective individuals chosen to judge that contest.
Very best of luck to you.
Your composition is good, configuration pleasing and the shadows are interesting.
I would send it to the contest.
Don't get discouraged by the possibility of an unapreciating jury, though.
Every jury is different and some may be even below the level of contestants.
Good Luck!
I would enter it in a heart beat. That's a fantastic image!
My first impression is that the lone bird in the lower left corner (with or without a shadow) would "kindly" make this image a 3 out of five. Just saying...
CanonShot, I'm sorry could you clarify exactly what you are saying.

If it were mine I'd enter it in a Nature or Open competition. The only thing I'd be concerned about is the bird in the lower left corner has not got a shadow.
I've been involved in the past judging video entries. Although it was a long time ago, some advice may still apply: If the first/only image doesn't grab the judges, they will quickly pass on to the next. In other words, if the image isn't compelling, there are usually so many entries that they will pass on it. It may not seem fair, but consider the mind-boggling number of images competing for our attention winners stand out. My two cents.
Do you have to pay to enter it? Just do it. If you don't win doesn't mean your picture sucks.

I think you should leave it just the way it is, DDUB. You have the leader of the group and the "wing men" in formation. Also, if you can hold the judges attention for 2 or more seconds, you have a chance of placing in the top.

Yes, a great entry to my taste. The comments about the judges is quite realistic.
I like it but a couple of suggestions: Clone out the bottom bird and some how make the background more cheery Olive is to dark and dreary
