Printer problem

OK Guys and Girls, I know that one of youUHH's will have an answer for me. I'm useing PSE10 and although I have all my printer settings right (8.5 x 11) my prints come out as 4 x 6 in the middle of the page. Please help, Thanks.

What brand of printer. My Canon has more than one place to setup print formats, it will do as yours if all the settings are not right.

I have a canon MX712. I thought that if I set my size up in PSE10, that should do the trick. Do you think the problem is with the set up in the printwer itself.

To give a short answer - YEP. :) I made the same mistake, after you set it up in the printer options, go back and recheck the others in PSE.
Then if you have print preview turned on, recheck the settings one last time before you press GO. Canon printers seem to have a mind of their own, and you have to over rule them.
After I finally got everything setup, mine has held the settings fine. No actually! Canon ignores the setup in PSE, for the most part. :)
Oh yes make sure your color profile in PSE, and the printer setup matches. I just use sRGB, my camera uses that profile so I reset PSE to the same; PSE defaults to Adobe RGB 1998.

Thanks, that did it. I noticed that canon had it set for 4x6. After I changed it, it worked fine. What would I do without UHH.

There seems to be answers to your question so this is "closing the barn door..." - doesn't you Printer hava a Print Preview setting; were uou using it? I have Canon's 9500 which replaced a Canon which had that setting also. Using it you can see whats going to be on the paper without depleting ink and paper

yes I do have a preview screen that shows the full 8,5 x 11" picture. That's what's confusing.

Might recheck printer settings, sounds like something in your software.
