I'm Kristyn and I'm new to the forum. I live in the Metro Detroit area with my husband and 3 kids (2 1/2 year old boy/girl twins and a 15 month old girl). I enjoy taking photos of my kids and of friends. I'm hoping to improve my photo skills and learn a few tricks!
Kristyn,
Post a few photos, we will offer some critiques, and you can start improving your photographic skills immediately.
Looking forward to your photos,
Eric

welcome from a former big rapidian (go ferris state bulldogs) now a floridian. this is for the most part a freindly site with awesomw photographs. only a few jerks here and you learn to ignore them. post some of your photos we would love to see em. GO TIGERS, GO LIONS , GO RED WINGS AND GO PISTONS.
Welcome aboard.......like to see some of your photos
Here are some photos I took last night for a friend for her engagment photos (just for fun). (Sorry the last one's sideways, I'll fix it later ;) )
A few more, I can log back on in a few hours when I get my kids in bed. I would love to hear what you have to say. I also took the one I'm using as my avatar of my son last fall.
The mirror shot is clever, I like it. Too much sky and too centered in the motorcycle shot. I like the reflection but the background is too busy in the third shot. The ring shot could benefit from off center placement. The thank you shot appears to lean a bit to the right. The last shot is a classic portrait, the only thing I would change is blur the background more.
You have the subject centered in all of your shots, a centered subject does work sometimes, but not all the time. Review the 'Rule of Thirds' and shoot some more. Finally the focus looks a little soft in all but the mirror photo, a little sharpening can work wonders in post processing.
I hope that is not too much critique, you have good photos, with some practice they will be great photos.
Keep posting,
Eric
Great shots.....love the ideas U have
Welcome aboard. You are off to a good start - just remember to have fun with photography.
My wife is from Monroe.
Welcome from another Michigander just down the road from you an hour or so.
Great pic Kristyn, I think the last shot of the couple on the log is probably my favorite. And the one with the motorcycle is in the center, but what else could you do? But I like motorcycles! Keep ew comin............
