Editing out unwanted foreground in Elements 15

As an example, I want to edit out the 'wires across the pic in front of the horse.
This is a heavy crop already taken with a Lumix LX100 at full zoom.
Would someone be able to give me a step by step process to do this in Elements 15.
I rarely edit my pics other than doing a little bit of exposure compensation and cropping.
Thats pretty much the extent of my ability.
Thanks in advance.

It's going to be very painstaking, hope you have patience. You can try content-aware fill:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/using/content-aware-fill.html

But I personally would use the clone stamp tool:
https://www.essential-photoshop-elements.com/clone.html
or
http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/how-to-use-the-clone-stamp-tool-in-photoshop-elements-11363811824882

You will probably want to watch a few videos to understand how it works and the best ways to achieve. Do a Google search for: "ps elements 15 clone tools you tube"

Thanks Linda. Yes googled my dilemma before posting and ended up trying the Clone tool, before posting this in frustration. You are right, it would take a long long time to do this nicely.
My problem with the content aware tool is it requires an understanding of layers and I just can’t get my head around how to use them.
Both tools seem to work well with larger objects so have learned something there.
Just thought there might have been a bit of tech magic hidden away that was designed for a lazy tech challenged type.
Thanks for your suggestions tho.

I'm not aware of a quick, magic fix but I'm going to keep watch on this topic just in case

I started removing the wires in the full Photoshop and it did not appear to be very difficult. The worst places are in the grass. I stopped because I don't know if PSE15 has the Spot Healing Brush tool with Content Aware.

Then I tried using the Clone stamp tool, (definitely in PSE15) - doable but much harder.
I also tried the Healing brush tool but did not like the result at all. Finally zoom right in and paint out the lower wire with a brush. Many colour samples (alt click on the required colour) and the result is attached.

I can see a couple of brushing errors in the sky - apart from that I don't think it's too bad. Has PSE15 got the Spot Healing (content aware) tool?

Linary, you beut! Thank you for taking the time to answer. Had a quick play before replying and thats the little bit of magic I was looking for. Your result is just what I was hoping for.
I guess its knowing how to ask the question when it comes to googling for an answer. As I wasn't aware of the Content Aware option I hadnt asked what it did. (Yes, found the Content Aware option) My first step in really getting in to a bit of editing :)
Best regards

I provided a link for "content aware fill," but I totally forgot about the spot healing brush (with content aware); I must have not used it for years. A win for both of us, Tony! Thank you, Linary. It's so easy to get into the habit rut of doing the same thing over and over

I saw this early this morning so this evening I just pitched in and did it in about 10 minutes with the spot healing brush in Photoshop Elements 2018. Then touched up a small spot in the horse's mane and the grass. I made a duplicate layer to work on and resized the spot healing brush to 30 px. You want to make it as small as you can and still be able to drag it along the wire without getting off of it. Not perfect but I did it quickly before reading on to see that others had mentioned the spot healing brush. For your own benefit, go back to the original picture and try it.

Sorry you don't have any experience removing lines like this with content awareness tool . In photoshop cc I was able to fully remove the lines in about a minute with out any cloning or healing brush usage . But , then again I have been using PS for about 17 yrs . I don't worry about using layers for things like removing these lines . Not sure what PS elements can do ... Good Luck , a little practice goes a long ways . Tommy

Try this shortcut. It works with some tools in PS and might also in PSE. Most of the wires are straight. Pick your tool, click on one end, move to the other end, hold down shift, and click again. PS then applies the tool in a straight line between the two points.

For the wire that is not straight, break it into two segments and use this trick twice.

That does work in PSE. A great tip!

Thanks for that Guyserman. Have been trying to replicate what you and others have done. I think I need a more sensitive 'mouse' or something. I drag the brush along the line and all goes well-ish then I seem to pick up some dark stuff and have to go back to the beginning. Grr!
