While I was browsing the web yesterday, I came across a place with suspiciously low camera prices. What amazed me is that it's located in the quiet little town I grew up in on Long Island - East Rockaway. The store is right on Main Street. If it wasn't three hours away, I'd drive to down to take a look. What caught my attention was a brand new D7000 for $832. A call confirmed that it is gray market, but I didn't even have to ask. The salesman told me that right off, so they're not trying to fool anyone. It's a great price, but with gray market, there are no updates, no support, and no repairs. Take a look at

At least they told me right away. A few years ago, I bought a gray market camera, not knowing it was gray market. When I tried to register it at the manufacturer's web site, the S/N came up as invalid. The dealer took it back and gave me a refund, but I still had to pay postage.
