My D800 and Nikon 24-70 F2.8 will be here Aug 8th!! Order placed with B&H March 9th.

Hopes this helps those in the "Q" at B&H figure out where they stand. I have my fingers crossed this D800 doesn't have the focus issues.

Cheers

Awesome combination. We added both the 800 and 800e and really have grown to appreciate both. So far, the threat of moire has been minimal and easily managed.

BTW, we ordered using NPS the D800's and got them the week they were released - neither have focus issues. I am sure it is a problem with some....there is just too much said about it. But we aren't experiencing it. Hope you won't either.

The lens is perfect for this camera - equally resolute.

Be prepared to go WOW!

WOW, I guess I won't be seeing my new camera in time for my Alaskan trip. I also bought the 24/70, (but I have that). Thanks for the info, I bought the D4 and it is on back-order but thats ok just unfortunate.

Did you get the $200 discount on the 24/70 with the D4?

Are you folks now getting your D800's 800E's as they are now in stock at our local photographic shop with alleged discounts being offered?

Nikonshooter, question, do you believe it is worth the $300 to get the 800e versus the 800?
