Wondering if you all can help me figure out the way around getting LR6 CC (last version before subscription) to read my new Sony RX100VI files? I have read it somewhere and cannot find it.... thought it was in here, perhaps on a different camera version, though I have no clue which one I was reading about. Thank you for any info.

Thank you, rwilson, I had downloaded it and just did not have it set it up properly. I have it converting now. Guess I need to bite the bullet before long and PAY Adobe. I sure hate to.

Imagine if you did photography for a living, and someone was trying to figure out a way to use the images you make without paying for them - because they would hate to pay you for them. . . . Just sayin'

The software is worth it - and you do get Photoshop with it. There are many things that LR simply cannot do, that are a walk in the park for Photoshop.

I do not mean to be rude or judgmental, but the monthly cost of the Adobe subscription for Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC is less than a six pack of Budweiser. You seem to do extensive photography. It's well worth the price.

You are correct, however, my other half will be retiring soon and I am trying to keep costs down. I will get a new MacBook before long and then we will see if we can swing the extra monthly fee. I seem have have lots of fees for everything, and need to sell a few possessions.... want to buy an alpaca or two? :-D

yes it does look like they are/ or have raised the price.. I have the photography plan- classic and it is still $10 per month.. It renews in 2019 so I will see what happens... Has anyone heard about the price going up? This is the first I've heard about it.. ENJOY your new camera.. I have a sony rx100 m3 and love it...have been tempted to upgrade but need to think about the tradeoffs extra lens length 24 - 200 vs 24-70 but at the expense of aperture compromises.. mine is f1.8 and f2.8 through the zoom range.. I think the VI drops to f4.5? Good luck to you!

Thank you! I just came back from vacation and it seems to have done a nice job. I could not have carried my larger cameras, even though I was truly wishing I had them. I really needed a good wide angle!
