I will be visiting Chicago next weekend. I was what lenses to bring. I own a 18-55mm kit lens, a 55-250 lenses and a 100-400 lens.
I’m going to rent a Tokina 11-20 f2.8 and Canon 18-135 mm lens.

Any thoughts about my choices that I’m renting.

If your camera is a crop frame then the two you are renting will do.

Yes it is a Canon 7d Mark Ii and a cropped sensor.
Thanks for your reply.

For me the 18-135mm lens would be enough. The 100-400 would give you some weight training in downtown Chicago. 😊 Have fun! One of my favorite cities.

Might as well take the 100-400. But it is heavy

Easy peasy, bring 'em all!

Since you're going to an urban area, and have a crop sensor camera, consider renting a Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 ART

11-20, 18-135. Leave the rest, you won't need or use them.

With the two lenses you have in mind to rent you should cover practically everything.

If you decide to go with the Glock line, be sure to get the anti-theft cord with embedded stainless steel cable....otherwise they'll steal it.

I can't imagine needing a 100-400 for cityscapes. The two you are renting will be sufficient. There are three versions of the 18-135. Make sure the one you rent is the newest nano USM version, or at least it's predecessor, the STM version. The original version is ok, but the newer versions are much better.

The rentals would be very good.
I would suggest you get the most excellent Canon EFs 10-18mm.
Sell the 18-55 and the 55-250 if there is a limiting budget, or just keep them.
Then have 10-18, rent the 18-135 and take the 100-400.
With those 3 lenses you have it all covered in a relatively easy to carry package.
The 18-135 would be the "Walk around" lens on the camera and the other 2 as the situation requires.
I know the Canon lens is not as fast but your camera is so good that should not be an issue and it has IS which works very well.
Very simple and comprehensive.
Have fun.
