FT Zuiko 7-14mm f4, AF on MFT?

I have read a few threads dealing with comparisons between the older FT version and the MFT version. The take away that I sensed was the that the older version was superior in the IQ area.

My question- do the users of the older FT f4 version on a MFT camera rely on auto focusing? It is my understanding that the older lenses on MFT cameras cause slow AF.

Comments?
Thanks

Normally the difference is hardly noticable. I have two non-MTF lenses and their focus speed has never been a problem. Yes, technically they may be slower, but not enough to affect real world shooting.

I agree I have a 70-300 Zuiko 4/3 lens that I use with an adapter on a EM 1 Mark ll and the focus speed is not an issue, and the lens is tack sharp.

I have the 7-14 f4 and have had no problems autofocusing with my first generation E-M1. It's a little slower with the E-P5 and other bodies that rely solely on CDAF. But honestly, what are you shooting with a 7-14 that requires lightning fast AF?
