This was a fun project - a photo of an Old school house and some of my wides mothers family back in the 1910 - 20. A lot of PS7 went into this and to be very truthful it was about 8 yrs ago so I don't have a clue of how I did it. LMAO
Harvey, I tried basically the same thing with this shot

What's the circle C above the roof line?
Use a ghosting technique described by Bryan Peterson. Use a long exposure, have the subject be still for 2-3 seconds, then a few steps and be still, etc. through the duration of the exposure. See if that works. I used this twice, but I did 8 sec exposure and at 4 seconds had my subject move into the room an remain ther until the esposure ended. One of these in February on 365project.org below and the other is in July.

Oh Oh Harvey I hope she doesn't see the wide comment!
Thanks for all help. I shall check on the links given too. Yes, she will be wearing different clothes by the way, that image was just a test run.
Ok, I stand corrected, there does seem to be a very small number of digital cameras with this capability.

This type of shot has got to be one of the main advantages some film cameras have over digitals. It seems ME or multiple exposure does not exist in the digital world of in camera techniques. My EOS 620 and EOS RT have ME capability with up to nine exposures on 1 frame. Could make this type of shot without any trouble. In the digital world it appears to take much more effort in PP.
that would be a very incorrect assumption - many digital cameras are quite capable of in camera multiple exposures

Thats just a quickie WaterMark I throw on randomly posted pictures.
I did photos like this 2 years ago using a time exposure. I set my camera on a tripod, open the shutter, walk into the photo for a short moment with a flashlight in my hand to illuminate myself, walk out of the photo, and close the shutter. I got some interesting photos with a nice ghostly appearance. :)
