Hot Tuna (Jorma and Jack) do an excellent Maggie's farm. I believe they were the core of the Airplane, I never really cared for Starship.
Phil Ochs, and Tom Paxton were as protest folk as you could get.
I'd never heard of Robbie Fulks. He's good. Has a Bob Wills, or Ray Benson sound to it.
